Survivor Support
Encouragement, education, and community for people rebuilding after trauma, injury, illness, loss, or major life change.
Empowering survivors, supporting families, and building hope through education, advocacy, compassion, and connection.
“I’m a survivor. You’re a survivor. We’re all survivors.”
Survivor Wear Inc. was founded by Teresa Rigby-Menendez, a retired Baltimore police officer whose life changed after a line-of-duty fall. Her recovery journey—and her experience supporting her family—became the foundation for an organization created to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Teresa shares the journey that inspired Survivor Wear Inc.
Our work is designed to meet survivors and families with compassion, practical resources, and meaningful connection.
Encouragement, education, and community for people rebuilding after trauma, injury, illness, loss, or major life change.
Resources and connection for caregivers and families carrying responsibilities that are often unseen.
Community education, storytelling, partnerships, and programs that strengthen awareness and access to support.
Teresa’s recovery story was featured in LifeBridge Health Magazine. The feature captured a season when healing became her full-time job—and when the purpose behind Survivor Wear continued to take shape.
This history grounds the organization in lived experience, resilience, service, and a belief that survivors deserve more than encouragement: they deserve community.
